PROJECT OVERVIEW

We teamed up with our friends at Macwell Creative on this campaign for the most respected name in optics, ZEISS.

This was ZEISS’ first attempt to create not only their first ever digital camera but their top-of-the-line sensor as well. The result is a beautiful piece of hardware together with an intuitive user experience in one smart package. Brink had the honour to bring the stylish high-end high tech 3D product animation into the two films.

TECHNICAL EXECUTION OF A HIGH TECH 3D PRODUCT ANIMATION

The most important part for a successful product animation is without a doubt the product itself.  Thankfully today all companies making industrial design use 3D models to design the product before it is manufactured. Therefore, we are able to use those 3D models for marketing purposes. In this case, in making sweet product animations.

Exploded view images have always been the signature move for presenting engineered high tech products. With 3D animation, we can make the exploded views move magically and get the viewer to places impossible to visualize in real life. In addition, using these techniques we are absolutely able to elevate the sensation of a high tech product.

With high-end high tech 3D product animations, we are able to create impressive visualizations of the product. In this view, we are looking at the interface between the optical lens array and the image sensor. There is certainly some artistic impression in action, as there should be when making high-end animation work.

For a high-end product animation, we make a good amount of lookdev and R&D.  This is because we want to make sure we go towards the end result the client is super happy with. To illustrate the process, below are some images we produced as a part of this process.

CONCLUSION AND RECEPTION

To summarise, the client needed a world-class product animation. We delivered over a minute of really sweet 3D renderings. The client was really satisfied with the quality and definition of the work, as well as the artistic flair we provided to the shots. In conclusion, a dream project for the tech enthusiast!
