Panda cares for good! We had the privilege to bring alive the famous 2D Panda character of Orkla‘s delicious Panda line of liquorice sweets. The project was commissioned by Bob the Robot and directed by Simo Liukka, with Pictures Helsinki responsible for the film production. We brought in our ability to create realistic 3D animals!

We created the ever so chill Panda for two films using 3D animation. The films portray situations that might be stressful for us people, but Panda always does good for people’s nerves, bringing absolute zen to where there is a stressful situation!

“Is there a giant Panda next to me munching sweet and salty licorice like they have no care in the world?!” – Well yes and no. For us the Panda represents 3D animals, hair and everything. But it just might feel real to you!

When you are waiting in line it’s not a big deal when you are accompanied by a giant furry Panda giving away serious chillax-vibes. Maybe giving away a few sweets?

Imagine feeling a little tight on the nerves while building your model airplane while your neighbors are re-building their apartment. Now imagine the same, with this fluffy fella sitting next to you – chewing sweets and taking it super easy!

The creation of photorealistic 3D animals is a world of its own. However, here’s some process footage for you from the look development stage of the production. A little massive spinny Panda! If you are interested in high-end 3D animation you should immediately check out our blog about the topic!
